Ise City Tourism Association official character Ise Mairin-kun. He had appeared on websites and elsewhere since 2009 to promote Ise City, but his costume was unveiled in November 2014 so that he could work more broadly. He is a boy dressed as a pilgrim visiting Ise, wearing a sedge hat and straw sandals. He shares the appeal and information of Ise City on Facebook and elsewhere while appearing at many events.
