The Fujieda Chamber of Commerce and Industry solicited a Fujieda idol character as part of the city's 60th-anniversary project, and Fujie was selected by vote from the submitted works and created. Decorated with fuji, the city's flower, she appears at various events as a madam character with “the refined charm of a mature woman” and is active in enlivening Fujieda City.
