Aoba Ward mascot, Nashika-chan. Created in 2009, the 15th anniversary of the ward's establishment, after being selected from works by children in the ward, she is inspired by the city's flower, the pear blossom. Her hands and feet express “Aoba Ward's beautiful greenery,” and she mainly appears at events in Kanagawa Prefecture and Aoba Ward.
