National Treasure Shiramizu Amidado character Tokuhimechama was selected from among submitted designs solicited in hopes of reconstruction after the earthquake, based on Tokuhime, and was unveiled in July 2014. Modeled on Tokuhime, who established Shiramizu Amidado, she appears at events and elsewhere to energize and promote the Uchigo area.
