Ujitawara Town mascot Chappy is a boy born in the tea fields of Ujitawara Town. His body is inspired by astringent persimmons used to make Korogaki, a winter specialty. He appears at events and elsewhere to share the town’s attractions with many people. Apparently, shaking hands with the hands known as Chappy’s “Happy Hands” will bring happiness!?
