Narashino City local character Narashido♪ was created in Heisei 25 to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Narashino City’s implementation, with green as its main color and local birds of Yatsu Tidal Flat as its motif. The musical note marks on his head and stomach represent “Narashino, the city of music.” He appears at various events for Narashino City and is also featured on the city’s polo shirts.
