Nottorin is Noto Town's image character. Nottorin is a satoyama-and-satoumi fairy created after a character was solicited in 2012 to revitalize Noto Town and selected from entries submitted nationwide. The head represents the first character of Noto Town's name and is decorated with the town flower, the Noto kirishima azalea. The body represents the satoyama and satoumi with green and blue, the waves represent Noto marine deep water, and the feet represent blueberries, a local specialty. Nottorin expresses Noto Town with the whole body and promotes it.
