Hashibo is Hashimoto City's mascot character. A fairy living along the Kinokawa River, Hashibo was created in January 2014 from nationwide public entries. His hairstyle is based on persimmons, a specialty of Hashimoto City, and he carries a traditional craft item, a Kishu hera fishing rod, on his back. His hobby is herabuna fishing, and he enjoys Hashimoto City's specialty products. He appears at many events.
