Odate City tourism character Hachikun. He is an eternally eight-year-old Akita dog boy who loves “Odate’s delicious foods” and is slightly overweight. Created in 2010, he is characterized by his pure-white fur and red collar. He appears at events inside and outside the city and prefecture to help more people learn about Odate City and works hard in promotional activities.
