Kobe Port Tower mascot character, Captain Tower-kun. Modeled on Kobe Port Tower and dressed as a ship captain, the 250-centimeter-tall Captain Tower-kun was born in June 2008 when his costume was completed and in July when his name was decided. Known for saluting, he appears at events to promote not only the tower but also Kobe Port.
