Tsubame City tourism promotion character, Kiraran. After debuting in February 2011 as the Bunsui Oiran Dochu promotion team, the costumed character was completed and unveiled in August 2013. While demurely promoting “Tsubame, a town that polishes, shines, and gathers” on Twitter and Facebook, Kiraran appears at events both inside and outside Niigata Prefecture, including Niigata product fairs.
