Jiyūgaoka image characters Whiprun and Whiprun-kun. They were created in 2004 after being selected as the grand-prize winners from more than 600 entries in the first sweets-themed character grand prix held at the Jiyūgaoka Goddess Festival. Inspired by whipped cream, they have a Whiprun Ondo and an image song. They have also been active after Meguro Ward issued them a special resident certificate and they served as the ward's official tourism characters.
