Kumatori Town's mascot characters, Jump-kun and Mejina-chan. In 2011, the 60th year of the town government, Mejina-chan was created with the town bird, the Japanese white-eye, as her motif. She wears a hat shaped like the town flower, the sunflower, and carries the flower of the town tree, the plum. Jump-kun is also a mascot character; he debuted in 1985, the 35th anniversary of the town government, and made a new debut after renewal in 1996. The two work together harmoniously.
