Hosokawa Yūsai image character (officially authorized). Yūsai-kun was created in the image of Hosokawa Yūsai, a Sengoku-period warlord and poet who built Tanabe Castle and governed the region. Hosokawa Yūsai was the founder of the Hosokawa family, and Morihiro Hosokawa, the 79th Prime Minister, was apparently the 18th generation of the Hosokawa family. As the officially authorized character of the historic Hosokawa family, Yūsai-kun is active at many events mainly in Maizuru City.
