Hiroshima Forest Development character Mōrī. Leaving forests neglected and degraded makes disasters such as landslides more likely. Since Heisei 19 (2007), Hiroshima has operated a forest-development program funded by the Hiroshima Forest Development Tax, and Mōrī promotes and reports on those activities. Mōrī appears at tree-planting and forest-maintenance events to support the activities.
