Mimasaka Province's image character, Katami-kun. Mimasaka Province, in northern Okayama Prefecture, marked its 1,300th anniversary in 2013. He was created with Kamitsukenu no Katami, the first governor of Mimasaka Province, as his motif. Dreaming that “everyone in Mimasaka Province will continue to live together happily,” he promotes Mimasaka Province mainly at events in Okayama Prefecture.
