Koori Town tourism promotion character Hotapy. This character was designed and created in 2008 by a manga artist from the town, based on entries submitted by elementary school students in the town. He is a boy inspired by the Genji fireflies of the Sangase River, known as the village of fireflies, and the number-one tribute peaches. He shares what is happening in Koori Town through blogs and other media.
