Kokubunji City image character Bunji Hotaru Hotchi. Designed by Tatsunoko Production, which had its office in Kokubunji City and was celebrating its 50th anniversary, Hotchi was apparently created in 2012 with the setting of a new species of firefly found only in Kokubunji, evoking Kokubunji's natural environment. Evoking water, greenery, and light, Hotchi appears at events and other occasions to share the appeal of Kokubunji.
